HERE IN Jackson there are 25 cats within a block,s radius. The smell is terrible around here. There is nothing I do. I do not own a cat, but I do love for my things to be nice and clean. You cannot have that with that many cats around here. I wonder if it is wrong to put moth balls out to keep the animals away.
ARE THERE any good people left in this area? Does anyone really care about ethics and values, or is it a mad rush to see what one can acquire? Today I watched a young couple push their toddler son through Capaha Park. The child was dirty and sickly. Does the child deserve better? Divorce is at a all-time high. Infidelity is tolerated, even encouraged in some circles, and no one stands to say this is wrong. The media and entertainment circle definitely endorses it. I personally am not a religious man. I do have strong ethics and a deep family background and believe there are other people like myself. Where are they? I have not found that place yet. And as for the young woman I was talking to outside the mall other night, there are plenty of nice, handsome and funny guys are left, but you have to look down from your pedestal and see them.
IF IT's John Ashcroft versus Al Gore for the presidency in 2000, I predict all Americans will split into such a state of terminal boredom that the voter turnout will be zero. If so, the Electoral College will have a significant role to play.
I AM bored to death reading columns about Missouri's proposed total transportation plan, Martha Stewart, whether the robotic Pete Wilson or John Ashcroft should seek the GOP presidential nomination and splits in the Republican party. We need an issue. We are not happy as a nation unless we can find another nation or creed upon which to focus our hatred. Bring back the cold war.
THIS IS the individual who complained about women taking their shoes off in public. Somebody called in and said I should get a life. Fine, that is their opinion. But let me put it more bluntly: Women, your feet stink. Keep them covered.
MY FAMILY and I were traveling through Jackson when dog ran out in the front of our car and got hit and killed. I would like to offer my sympathy to the children who were standing on the side of the highway looking. I am so sorry. I don't understand why someone will let their pet play out on the dangerous highway. We did what we could to keep from hitting the dog. I would like to say to the family, please forgive us. We tried not to hit your pet. Again, I am so sorry.
