Joe Sullivan's column in which he got political was very disappointing. He revealed his pro-Trump bias in no uncertain terms. Joe always seemed to have more integrity than that. Frankly, I was surprised.

Coverage of football

Maybe 2,500 fans watched the SEMO vs Arkansas State football game, and there are five articles and a photo gallery on Semoball. Yet, more than 9,000 people were at the Pit in Jackson, and there's just one article written. I'm not a marketing major, but more fans would seem to equal more potential newspaper customers. Your marketing strategy would be like McDonalds promoting leftover apple slices instead of the Big Mac.

Trump and the polls

The same geniuses conducting polling showing President Trump's approval rating in the mid 40s for an approval rating were predicting a Hillary Clinton presidency. That turned out to be fake news. We all know that Trump's approval rating is really in the 60s.

Numb

What will be the response to another shooting at a South Cape neighborhood gathering? A new park? A group march? A condemnation from neighborhood leaders? I hope the shooting victim recovers, but I've become numb to that part of town's problems and their lack of relevant solutions.
