Sunday afternoon a tire blew out on our gray truck. We were able to make it to Kidd's parking lot on Broadway. Numerous people stopped to offer their help. One woman offered to help change it. Another said her husband was coming to help. A relative came and they took care of it. Two different times employees from Kidd's came out to check on us. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of you. May your kindness be returned to you many times over. Thank you.
Your article about Mother Teresa stated the two cured people "... recovered rapidly after praying to Mother Teresa for help." Catholics, and all Christians as far as I know, DO NOT pray to any humans. They pray to God only. What actually happened was that these two people asked Mother Teresa to pray to God on their behalf (intercessory prayer). Big difference.
Sunday for the second time, I was witness to the need for 911 to be called to St. Vincent de Paul church during Mass for someone taken ill. Again, I was impressed with the medical expertise and the professionalism of the first responders from both the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and Cape County Private Ambulance Service. This area is so fortunate to have these people and their services. I don't know the person who was ill, but I would just like to say a big "Thank You" to everyone who comes to our aid when we need them!
If the state of Missouri has money to pay inmates of our prison system to have transgender medications and surgery, then maybe we should all just stop paying our state income tax if the state has this kind of money for this insanity. If this happens, obviously this must be more important than education, aiding those who are physically disabled and the list goes on and on. Enough is enough. Our morals are so out of whack it makes me sick.
