The spectacular failure of Proposition A should serve as a warning to Republicans in Missouri. What should have been a slam dunk, lost because of what the Imperial Japanese called "victory disease," commonly known as overconfidence. Republicans ran a mediocre campaign, labeling everyone and everything they oppose "liberal," and trying to associate everything with Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton. That simply doesn't fly anymore. Time to re-tool.
Before Common Core math, 1+1=2. Jackson High School should return to pre-Common Core math, so the superintendent can correctly count parking spots to accommodate students, staff, parents, and visitors. They didn't have enough for orientation this evening. And they sure won't have enough when 5,000 people show up for a football game.
Democrats are standing behind U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison and his bid for Minnesota state attorney general, with the state party giving him an endorsement Saturday amid an allegation of domestic abuse from an ex-girlfriend. In other news: Democrats are hypocrites.
Cape Public Schools spend millions of taxpayer dollars on a football stadium then takes more taxpayer dollars to give everyone (whether they qualify for free or reduced lunches or not) a free meal. And we wonder where the entitlement generation gets its start.
From the Democrats' National Committee Twitter Page: "Vermont is one step closer to electing its first-ever transgender U.S. governor. Let's help." If you think that Democrats returning to some form of power is a good thing then here's your sign.
A recent news report said that the nation of Hungary has told its public colleges to cease-and-desist issuing degrees for gender studies. The reason given is that the courses are based on ideologies and not science. Good for them! I'm just wondering why Hungary can show some common sense and the USA can't!
Actress Asia Argento, one of the first prominent women to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, agreed to pay $380,000 to an actor who accused her of sexually assaulting him when he was 17 years old. Hypocrite.
Trillion dollar deficits each year are fast approaching, but the party in power says, "We can worry about that next year, after the elections." Why do difficult, painful things like govern now when it would just upset people. Next year is soon enough. How is that winning?
Kudos to the Kentucky schools (and a few other states) that have stood up and declared their state and their families believe in God. Wish that Missouri would take a stand, too.
