I really appreciate the "In God We Trust" advertisement that Hobby Lobby printed in the newspaper. It underlines how intertwined Christianity has been with what built the United States into the greatest nation in the world. The comments from early Supreme Court justices, foreign observers, founding fathers and so many more indicate that we have been a nation of freedom, based and dependent on Christian values. Is our nation at risk the more we diverge from these values? I think so. Not because of something like gay marriage. As a Christian, my heart loves all individuals. I don't begrudge gays for seeking to be committed to their partners. But I am fearful about how Christians themselves are being maligned and accosted by our culture.
R.I.P. to Burt of Burt's bees.
Big thanks to the city. That was the best fireworks show that I have ever seen! That was really fun and exciting. Thanks to you and the sponsors who made it happen.
The comment in which the caller compared Gov. Nixon's efforts to bring in foreign business to that of Gov. Walker was ridiculous at best. First, the caller compared apples to oranges -- Nixon visited one company, but Walker visited several cities. He also compares the spending for governor but doesn't mention how many companies Walker enticed to his state, so Nixon's one victory could be nothing compared to Walker's successes. But it was the last comment that was especially ridiculous. The caller ends by saying Walker's state is a Right to Work state. So? Without all the facts, this is meaningless and only shows your obvious bias yet again. Before you make such comparisons, get all the facts and at least make an effort to appear fair and unbiased.
You know the president was bragging about lighting up the White House for the gay marriage. He disrespected it. He lit it up like it was a whorehouse.
I think if all these people want to burn the American flag, the Confederate flag, and that, fine. I say Christians should get together and we'll burn the Koran, the gay-pride flag and the AIDS quilt. Because it's the same thing. But people get upset when you starting talking to them about burning the AIDS quilt.
