I'M very upset with the removal of Randy Morris Jr. by a couple of these board members. I've never voted during the election for the fire board members, but you can bet I'll be voting this next time. Have others noticed the prices at the store? I just can't get over the rise in prices and everything. May the Lord help us all...

Work ethic
I was reading in the Southeast Missourian this morning about the child work laws and letting kids younger than 16 work. I think that is a big problem. We've got two generations removed where kids don't know how to work and they don't want to work because our bureaucracy and our government has made them this way. Parents can't take their kids work. They don't see how to work. They don't know where to begin. For only 2,000 some workers to have permits in Missouri is sad. When they get 18 they either go to school or they go to work and they do not work because they do not know how. They have no work ethic. We have created generations of do-nothings because they don't know any better.

Take a drive by St. Mary Cathedral at the corner of South Sprigg and William Streets to see and admire the beautiful garden. Thanks to the gardener who tends this well-manicured area all year long. This will be an uplifting time in your day.
