Use your voice

I don't know if everybody is as mad as me over this deal about the Muslim that shot up our soldiers. They called it workplace violence. Why don't they call it terrorism? Now he gets to represent himself. What is becoming of our country?

Emerson leaving

I would like to call the special election for Congress we just had a mockery. We cannot keep forgiving Jo Ann Emerson for resigning and doing it in the time she did it. She knew exactly what she was doing for the Republican Party. She knew exactly what she was doing for the district when it was going to cost us a million dollars to have the special election. I do not understand why people think she is so great. She was nothing like her predecessor.

Uncomfortable times

The more that I watch the news, the less I am comfortable with how this country is run by this administration. There are so many things going on, like them looking into people's records like they shouldn't be and the IRS mess. This is getting really worrisome to my family.

Bush and Katrina

The caller who said Obama's been on site at all the recent disasters and that Bush didn't do anything doesn't have his facts straight. President Bush sent quite a bit of aid down to Louisiana. He sent FEMA trailers down there, and most weren't even used. The governor at the time, a Democrat, and the mayor of New Orleans, who was also a Democrat, didn't use the school buses to get people out of the hurricane areas. An awful lot of money was sent that has yet to be accounted for. And he has the nerve to say that President Bush didn't do anything? Most of Obama's appearances are for photo ops. He's concerned about himself and getting Democrats elected.

Ban dogs, not guns

I am really, really upset with this country. One thing is that we have a problem with pit bulls. They should be outlawed in this country. It's well known that they are killers and turn on their masters. Why are they outlawing guns and letting these killer dogs run loose? Another thing is that they're trying to make it illegal for anybody who is on Xanax and certain medications to buy guns. This is very unconstitutional. There's nothing on this Earth that should take away a man's right to defend himself, but that's what they're doing. There's no excuse for that.

Not fair

Waller gets 20 years and we pay for his upkeep? Doesn't quite seem fair.

Chihuahua update

I would like to respond to the person who asked if the Chihuahua in Scott City had been found. No, it hasn't been found, but thank you for asking.

Accountability

I am getting very concerned about our federal government. All of these people who are doing things that aren't right, they're the ones who are getting promoted and put on paid leave. Nobody is being held accountable. Eric Holder should go, but since he's the president's friend, he won't. We need to be more choosy about who we put into office.

Ozone culprits

The EPA has decided there is too much ozone in Perry and Ste. Genevieve Counties. Has anyone told us which businesses are making too much ozone? I think it is in the trees in the Ozarks producing the ozone. Should the trees get cut down? This is crazy. Let the world do its thing.

Send bill to Emerson

So Mr. Smith goes to Washington. I wish him the very best. The bill for the special election should go to Jo Ann Emerson.

Waller's sentence

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's outraged over the sentence Clay Waller received for what he did to Jacque. I agree with Judge Lewis who said that it was lighter than he deserved. It was premeditated murder. I hope Illinois and the federal government have the fortitude to do what Missouri should have done and put this guy away.
