The Department of Health and Human Services announced recently it would pay public relations firm Weber Shandwick $8 million to promote enrollment in Obamacare's exchanges. When was the last time you remember a government agency paying a public relations agency millions of dollars to promote a government-sponsored program? Obviously, if this was such a good deal there would be people lined up to enroll, but thank goodness more and more people are seeing this a stupid program that needs to go away.
George W. Bush's popularity is on the rise again. Who's the most upset? The Democrats? No. The tea party. Will W. help divide the Republicans once again, allowing the Democrats to pull out more victories? This is exciting.
We need to ask our state legislators if they support attacking workers and creating more red tape for organizations rather than seeking methods to actually bring more jobs to this state. Instead of being puppets to the out-of-state special interest groups, we, as these legislators' employers, would appreciate their concentrated efforts to bring more industry, and the good paying jobs with benefits that will accompany it, here to Missouri.
Deer-loving Cape citizens: A suburban St. Louis family says a coyote is responsible for the death of their two small dogs. You had better keep your pets inside since you have decided that the deer should be able to run free in the city and that will bring more coyotes into town. May need to think of keeping young children in also.
