House Republicans voted to repeal Obama Care again. "Not only is this a clear waste of time and of taxpayer dollars, it is a deliberate vote to eliminate affordable quality health care benefits millions of Americans are already enjoying," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said. Politically, however, the vote is important, because it offers the 36 new members of Congress an opportunity to say they officially supported or opposed the law. That is why they have less than 10 percent approval rating. Again they are wasting the middle class and poor taxpayers' money, as their 2 percent doesn't pay their fair share.
I dread the end of the school year. Why? Because it seems more young people are injured or killed in auto accidents at this time. I know you have a lot of joy and energy heading into summer break, but please be careful. Watch your speed, put down that phone and buckle up. You are loved by family and friends.
A review of roll call votes for two Congressional candidates serving in the Missouri House of Representatives shows how running for office can interfere with the daily work of a legislator, contrary to the promises most will make. That is why they should only be able to campaign no more than six months, as that is long enough to listen to their lies.
I can't believe anyone would claim that state representative Kathy Swan's e-mail polls are more reliable than the infallible online poll results published by the Southeast Missourian.
Did you guys do that on purpose? You published a column by thoughtful conservative Charles Krauthammer warning fellow conservatives to take a go slow approach, not to go ballistic and wait until all the facts are in concerning the current controversies swirling around Washington. Then, immediately below that you published a column on the same subject by (and there is no need to elaborate on the irony) David Limbaugh.
Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley signed into law one of the United States' toughest gun control measures, even as opponents vowed to overturn it. The legislation prompted by the Newtown, Conn., school massacre requires handgun buyers to undergo safety training and submit fingerprints to obtain a license. It also bans the sale of 45 types of assault weapons, which have been linked to at least 461 U.S. deaths since 2004, according to the governor's office. The new law reduces magazine capacity from 20 rounds to 10 rounds. People who have been involuntarily committed to a mental health facility will be banned from gun ownership. It is a shame that the greedy Missouri legislators won't do the same. However they like the blood money from the NRA. They don't care about the people.
This is in regard to the caller in Speak Out about gay couples. One of the things they mentioned is procreation and passing on their homosexual genes to the next creation. For one thing, they can't naturally procreate. Heterosexual couples are the ones who have homosexual children who pass on the homosexual genes to their children.
If you have a 40-hour-a-week job, I hear starting next year, when the affordable health care act goes into effect, you'll see your hours cut or even get laid off because companies can't afford to pay for your health insurance.
