I wanted to thank La Croix Church for their help on houses that had flood damage in Olive Branch, Ill. The church members came from all walks of life. They were friendly, optimistic and hard working. They nearly cleared out an entire house in four hours, ate lunch, and moved on to a new project. They are truly doing God's work. Thank you, La Croix Church.

THANK goodness President Obama has fixed the economy, ended the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stopped torture through rendition, closed Gitmo, stood up to Big Oil, kept lobbyists out of his inner circle, and stopped domestic spying. Oh wait, he hasn't done any of those things.
PRESIDENT Obama reminds me of the Roman emperor Nero, who fiddled around as Rome burned.
WITH President Obama's approval rating soaring, Speak Out callers continue to deny that the race of the president is not a factor with them while arguing at ridiculous and irrelevant length as to the exact nature of his racial makeup.

CONGRATULATIONS to columnist Mike Jensen. Though he condemned the use of the phrase, Jensen's most recent column about what he considered the overuse of the phrase "thinking outside the box," was, on Jensen's part, a great example of, well, thinking outside the box.
TO the person that accused all of us bad Republicans of all these terrible things concerning oil, prove it.
I consider it a near war crime and am losing a lot of sleep over the apparent forced removal from area classrooms of The Letter People.
WOW. The bell concert recently at Grace Church on Broadway was really awesome. So good to listen to, so fun to watch. Hope you were there.
