I think it's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. There was an ice rink sitting there in Town Plaza that is no longer is in use and is just falling down. The ice rink is crazy. Give money to poor people. We need it more. Turn that place into a homeless shelter. Don't just tear it down; fix it up.
The new roundabout at Kingsway Drive and Lexington Avenue will be an asset to the city. Once completed it will remedy the congestion in the area and provide for efficient movement of traffic. The plans call for a grassy area in the center of the circle. Why not place the historic Cape LaCroix Creek marker there? It would look much better than its current location at the corner of Main and William streets. It would then be back home near the actual creek where it was originally placed in 1947.
I'm tired of hearing people complain and complain and complain about the improvements being made in the city. Broadway is beautiful. Sidewalks are needed. The roundabout also will be useful. Do these people just want the town to fall apart and get older? Sure there are some eyesores in town still, but, overall, the place looks better than it did five years ago.
I was driving down Broadway and noticed the new trees that were planted in the summer starting to bloom. Now I understand why it was done. It looks fantastic.
I wish someone would do something to stop the river from flooding year after year.
Where are the all the high school graduates going to get jobs? The casino? Maybe if the big corporations would stop shipping jobs off and the government wouldn't strangle businesses so badly they'd have a chance.
