I understand that tractors are slow-moving and want to get an early start, but a slow-moving vehicle at 7:30 on Highway 177 is just plain dangerous. We need more disclosure and transparency in the management of the university. It is a public institution owned by taxpayers, but it is run like a closely held private corporation.
THOUGH Wall Street cretins brought this nation to the verge of financial collapse, Republicans are doing all they can to prevent Congress from passing meaningful financial reform designed to make less likely another major financial meltdown.
TO those who are being fooled by the media spin on the part of Democrats trying to convince Americans the new health care system is a good one, stop falling for this. Open your eyes and look around. I witnessed a practice in a convenience store that makes me furious. A woman cashed a government check and gave the cashier a large portion of it just for cashing it. This our tax money that is being given away. These check recipients have no ID or checking account and must give our taxpayer money away to cash their checks. This practice must be stopped. How many millions of dollars are being given away? Recipients should be required to have ID and a checking account to receive government aid.
