** Good care

I would like to comment on the news tonight. [It] had a clip in there about Safe Harbor. I don't know why they're wanting to shut Safe Harbor down, but I have got two or three animals, my family has got three animals from them. And they feed them good, take care of them good. And I'm sure the Humane Society and everywhere else that has animals has animals that die that are sick and stuff. So why are they giving Safe Harbor so much heck? Please, get off Safe Harbor's case and let them take care of their animals.

** ISIS score

I just read a hot-off-the presses book about ISIS. The bottom-line seemed to be that ISIS either is or is not winning.

** Very punny

Increasing sorghum production in this area will slow the pace of progress to a molasses level.

Coach vs. instructor

I want to get a teaching position at SEMO and either do a crappy job and get fired or work for a month and then resign. Of course, I would expect to be paid through the remainder of my contract, even though I didn't do my job or I quit. That's how coaches are treated, so I'm sure that that's how I, as an instructor, would be treated, right? SEMO is, after all, an institution of learning and not a sports organization.

** Reduce districts

Someone in the Missouri state legislature has proposed consolidation of school districts if the number of students is below 350. I wonder if this guy has the courage of his convictions and will reduce what's really needed; a reduction in the number of state legislative districts.

** Less is more

I read where a mail processing change could create delays in receiving mail. Good. It might slow down my never-ending mailed reminders of unpaid bills.

** Poor saving

A new survey revealed many Americans aren't doing a good job when it comes to saving their income. The Bankrate survey says roughly half of all Americans save 5 percent or less of their incomes. That includes 18 percent who aren't saving one dime. Bankrate's chief financial analyst says you should try and save 15 percent of your income for retirement savings, emergency funds and other factors. The survey says about one in seven people currently save more than 15 percent. That is because the 1 in 7 is of the 1 percent. The working people don't make enough to save anything.

** 'Memphis'

I thought "Memphis" (at the River Campus) would be good, but I didn't think it would be THAT good! Bravo! Encore!!

** Monumental

Congratulations! The collective effort needed to lead the praiseworthy renaissance of downtown Cape is secondary only to that required to construct the pyramids of ancient Egypt.

** Driving

Either the parents of the children who attend the school in the Red Star Baptist area, need to learn how to drive, or the area surrounding the school needs to be shut off during drop off and pick up. Also, if parents could stop parking along the side street of the church, that would be great! I have almost been involved in 10 or more accidents, due to these people thinking they own the road, as if there is no other traffic surrounding them!

** Pretty please?

Bloomfield road -- Repave and widen! STREETLIGHTS!

** Safety first

I hope the child that was hurt in a hit and run will be OK. If that street is known for speeders, why do parents allow children to play in the street? Safety first, take young skaters or bikers to a park.
