** Something smells

I don't know. Arguing that you didn't realize you were polluting and then, in effect, blaming the government for finding out that you were doesn't quite fly.

** Koch product

Wow! Kudos to Republican presidential aspirant Scott Walker. He has been anointed as the next president by the billionaire Koch brothers.

** Word choice

I think that as SEMO's correct campaign to become a more diverse and up-to-date university continues, it would be more politically correct and less cringeworthy to discontinue use of the word rebranding.

** Eat it

Someone expressed hope that President Hillary Clinton will see to it that the school lunch program will serve better meals than those suggested by Michelle Obama. I think she might. However, her first mandated meal will be for the Republican nominee who had the audacity to challenge her and will consist mainly of crow and a dessert of less-than-delicious humble pie.

** Will to don't

Southeast Missouri State University celebrated its new "Will To Do" brand on Monday, April 20. The money they spent to have an out-of-town company to come up with this bull was a waste of money. Cut the tuition for the students. They are just like the Republican lawmakers. There is no limit to how much they will raise the cost for the people they are serving.

** Elephant herd

Talk about the fast and furious on May 4th and 5th -- not one, not two, but three Republicans will announce for the presidency: Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee. Keep 'em coming. The more the merrier. I'm hearing 21 or 22!

** Class-ic rhetoric

Well, King Obama seems to have overstepped his arrogant line with a new trade initiative that, of course, he says helps the middle class. You know, it's always helping either the middle class or children, when he tries to get something passed. He says, "I would not be doing this trade deal if I did not think it was good for the middle class," Obama said in an interview Tuesday with MSNBC. "When you hear folks make a lot of suggestions about how bad this trade deal is, when you dig into the facts, they are wrong." Just like we were wrong about Obamacare? Hmmm, he really does think we are all stupid!

** Camera question

Jackson police wear body cams. Do Cape's? Just wondering.
