The rich can't get enough money and the poor can't either.
Two Republican members of Congress have asked the U.S. Treasury Department for information on what type of license American pop star Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay Z obtained for a high-profile trip to Cuba to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Boy, this is so important. Just what needs to be done to get people back to work, back in their homes and with their families? Or would it be they are trying to find something they can somehow blame on the president. This is why America has gotten into such a mess because they are only out for political gains if they can.
I recently moved to Cape, and I am taken aback by the disgusting, uncivilized behavior of many people. Every time I go to a store I hear people belching out loud with their mouths open. I have also noticed that every time I'm in traffic there is some sloppy careless person emptying their drink, soup and whatever leftover slop they have in their car. They open a door or roll down a window and pour things out. What makes you think I want your slop all over my car? Have you noticed how stained and nasty the roads in Cape are? No wonder. Not to mention how people seem to be permitted to spit tobacco and mucus all over the place. This is the only area that I've seen containing so many primitive people.
To reduce the deer population in Cape city limits: When there is a group of deer located, would it be too costly to have animal control officers use a sleeping dart to down the deer, then release them into the counties? I think bows or guns would be safer in their hands than allowing just any Tom, Dick and Harriette to go hunting in city limits.
Why is it always so difficult to find anything about the Capahas, like schedules, merchandise, anything? It would be a lot easier to support them if anything was readily available.
The NRA may still win the battle, but it has lost the war. Those for sensible gun control have now learned that organization and ongoing pressure on politicians works. I love the idea that, like the NRA, gun control advocates are going to start issuing report cards for performance by politicians.
It's time to once again try to ban smoking in public places in Cape Girardeau. As a possible exception, an exemption could be given to the casino.
I think that Jackson closing the library is a tragedy. My daughter loves going there to check out books to read. It is a great place to spend time. Let's not take away a place where children can go to read. It is better than staying home and playing video games.
Is our government going to try to outlaw and take away our knives now that there has been the a knife attack in Texas?
The government has 76 programs to treat drug abuse spread across 15 different agencies. It has 47 programs for job training. And there are three federal agencies that inspect catfish.
Will Bode, Miranda Schlosser, Blake Urhan, Mike Brown, Lucas Dirnberger, Sara Michel, Greg Proffer. These are just a few of those gearing up for Cape's Parks and Rec slow pitch softball season at Shawnee Park. If you're not playing, attend and enjoy watching some top-notch ballgames. The quality of play is excellent and the competition, though fierce, is always characterized by a spirit of good sportsmanship. The season starts April 22. Come on out. The concession stand will be open and the service is great. Play ball!
