Great pictures

It was refreshing to see all the pictures in the Southeast Missourian and all the opposite-sex couples. How refreshing. And these are senior citizens. They truly know how God intended it to be. Way to go!

Support group

I have a serious question. Is there any kind of organization in Cape for women, and I guess men, too, who have been unjustly abandoned by their spouse? My kids are grown, but they're hurting. And I'm hurting too. I just don't know who to turn to. It would be so great to have a support group.

Who to blame?

I've been seeing on the TV about Russia invading Ukraine. And what I would like to know is, are the Democrats going to blame the Republicans for that, too?

It's our money

I would just like to say something about our Social Security, our Medicare, our Medicaid. It's all for people who have worked all their lives and now they're in their golden years, and they might need some help. The Social Security is what we've paid in. It isn't anyone giving us anything. It's what we've paid in through the years through our work. It seems to me if our president is really concerned about the American people, the people who voted him in, then he needs to try to help keep Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid available for the people. The people need it. Why should we settle for anything less?

Military changes

This has got to be the worst -- or the dumbest, I'm not sure which, probably both -- administration that we've ever had. With all the trouble spots in the world, these people are going to cut our military by thousands and thousands of troops and airmen, sailors, and right at the time we're going to need them the most probably.

A good neighbor

Wanted to say what awesome neighbors we have on Hillcrest Drive, especially during the storms. They plow our streets for us. They're wonderful.

County roads

I'm the first one to complain, but I'm also the first one to say, whoever is doing the county roads out there at 525 and 535 in Cape County are doing the best they've ever done, I've ever seen. These guys are really smart. They seem to put the cinders down in the right spots. I just wanted to give them a little praise for doing a good job for the Cape Girardeau County Highway Department.
