Hooray for Peter Kinder. Not afraid to speak out the truth. It's about time someone spoke the truth on this situation.
Are there two basic kinds of citizens? Those who think that it is impossible for our government to fail? Our children will have the same liberties, standard of living that we have enjoyed all our lives. And the other group fears that it is possible and probable that our government will fail. Our children may lose the liberties and rights that we have and that characterize our nation and made it the envy of the whole world. Do you think that we can continue borrowing money from foreign nations to keep our great lifestyle and there will never be a day of reckoning? Could fiscal irresponsibility actually bring down our form of government?
Congratulations, Southeast Missouri State University. I hope your alumni foundation never contacts me again for another donation to the university. Your razing of the Shivelbine house is absolutely ludicrous. Apparently, the university only teaches new math, because when I was up there 30 years ago, I was taught that $400,000 was much less than $2 million. But yet now, $2 million is less than $400,000 to fix a house.
