SOMEONE wrote in to Speak Out suggesting that we cut our legislators' pay. At one time I don't think we paid [legislators] anything, and if we did it was just a little. People still took the job as their civil duty. IF our government is so great and President Obama is so great, then why in the world are our gas prices as high as they are? Surely they can find a way to lower these prices. ...
Civil duty

IF our government is so great and President Obama is so great, then why in the world are our gas prices as high as they are? Surely they can find a way to lower these prices. They are not worried about the gas prices because they make good money. What about the little man who is struggling to pay bills, put food on the table and put gas in the tank?
Dog park
THE city council is still planning on a dog park. I don't know why they want to put something like that in when we need the money for important things like our streets, fire department, police department and water treatment plant.
