Whiffle ball

Though the casual observer does not understand the degree of athleticism and skill it takes to master the game, those who have played or tried to play understand its almost insurmountable challenges. Therefore, it is with the sincerest of Speak Out congratulations to Suzanne Carter, Madison Lowrance and a host of others who led the team Bye Week to SEMO's intramural whiffle ball championship.

Ryan column

Thank you for publishing the column by Republican congressman Paul Ryan outlining his budget proposal. It explained in very clear and understandable terms how best to redistribute wealth upward.

Legislature, unions

The Republican Missouri Legislature is at it again. They're trying to limit what the people in the unions can do. They have kept the wages of the working people stagnant since the '70s. They need to stop the corporations that have bought America. The corporations and the rich have benefited from all these laws over the last 40 years. America has been sold out to them.
