I was so impressed by Benjamin Netanyahu's speech before the United States Congress. I wish that the Republican party would come up with a leader like him to set before the American people. Can you imagine anybody ever saying, "I just don't know if Netanyahu really loved his country?"
The city keeps wanting more tax money to fix streets or whatever. Why don't they use the money they are getting from the casino for that instead of wasting it on some pet project they think will put a feather in their hat so they can look like a Yankee Doodle Dandy?
I have no desire to be an alarmist, but lately I have become increasingly concerned that my beloved country is headed for disaster. I will not go into any detail during this brief commentary, but history is repeating itself. Our government is acting exactly like Neville Chamberlain just before World War II.
Kudos to Speaker of the House John Boehner for allowing a vote on funding for the Department of Homeland Security. History will judge Boehnner very favorably, comparing him to the "Great Compromiser," Henry Clay.
