THE teachers' unions have helped bankrupt half the states in the nation. They enjoy benefits that those in the private sector can only dream about, and yet when asked to pay just a small share of those benefits, they protest. Why do they feel that they deserve so much more than the rest of us, particularly at a time when our schools are obviously failing?
MY husband was a vendor recently at the Cape Antique Car Club Swap Meet held at the Arena Building. While I understand that the building is under construction, I was disappointed to see piles of trash between the bleachers, which had obviously been swept but not picked up. It seems to me that the building could have been made to look better.
WE give away $50 billion per year in "assistance" to foreign governments. We spend billions each year to defend foreign countries, while our Union does nothing to stop illegal immigration and drug trafficking. If you want to get rid of unions, let us start with the biggest waste of taxpayer dollars, the federal government.
THE GOP already has their tax cuts for the rich. The middle class is paying everything, and the rich are paying very little. Some don't even pay anything. They just complain that those who don't have a job should be working. However, there aren't any jobs for these people.
