JUST READ your article about the poor ticket sales for the Sheryl Crow concert. The answer is easy: advertising. Considering that there is a limited population in the area, you would think that such a benefit would shoot for more regional publicity, not just local. JUST READ your article about the poor ticket sales for the Sheryl Crow concert. The answer is easy: advertising. Considering that there is a limited population in the area, you would think that such a benefit would shoot for more regional publicity, not just local. Bush would do it too

I AM sick of hearing so many people criticize Al Gore for wanting to win this election. Everyone thinks poorly of him because he has appealed many decisions regarding the counting of votes. But I say to all of you that is simply the way competition is supposed to be. In a basketball game, if a team is losing, it goes on the offensive to try to win by being more aggressive. The winning team does not have to do anything but defend its position. Gore is losing by a narrow margin in Florida. It is only natural that he has gone on the offensive and, therefore looks more aggressive. If the roles were reversed, I guarantee you George W. Bush would do the same.

Rules change daily

A RECENT caller asked why George Bush is afraid of the hand recount. Bush is afraid because the rules change from day to day. He is afraid of an unfair process that we see unfolding before our very eyes.

Left-wing politics

THE MANAGEMENT of the Show Me Center might consider Sheryl Crow's left-wing politics as being the reason Southeast Missouri is ignoring her concert.

Go ahead and vote

IN DEALING with the stoplight camera dilemma, I think we ought to take a vote on it. We need to make a simple yes or no ballot. Put it on the agenda and everyone vote on it.

Going to highest court

GEORGE BUSH said over and over during his campaign that he trusted the people to make decisions, not big government, and now he goes to the highest court in the land for help.

Legislative support

I WANT to express my support for the Florida Legislature to go into special session and choose electors for Florida who will be faithful to George Bush. This is the only way the will of the people in Florida can be done. Otherwise Al Gore and his Democratic buddies will hijack this election. It is time to support the people, and I support the Florida Legislature.

A slap in the face

ALL YOU veterans and crying hearts complaining about Clinton going to Vietnam: Did you raise your voice when Reagan visited Normandy and placed a wreath on a grave of a Nazi soldier? That was a slap in the face to those who gave so much.

Not that great

THE PERSON from Rolling Stone magazine must have been high on something. I saw the movie "Unbreakable," and it wasn't really mind blowing and I wasn't pinned to my seat. I was rather shocked that the content was R. It wasn't something you would want your child to see.

We won't bow down

JOE SULLIVAN missed his forte. He would have made a top-notch comedian. As it is, give him credit for his attempt to appease and comfort our worried souls for the future of our democracy. As Americans we will not bow down to communist control by Al Gore with Clinton calling the shots, which is what we will hear if Gore loses.
