Pathetic situation

OUR NATIONAL situation right now is so pathetic. Gore is so selfish and conceited he will do anything it takes to win. If Bush wins, he will be challenged no matter what.

Should be shoo-in

AT THE Democratic convention Clinton dared to repeat the Reagan standard and Gore repeated it in his campaign, which is, are you better off than you were eight years ago? It is a dangerous question coming from the most corrupt administration in American history. Our military is worse off than it was eight years ago. Our national security is worse off than it was eight years ago. Our federal government is bigger than it was eight years ago. Our federal budget is bigger than it was eight years ago. We pay more to the government in taxes than we did eight years ago. We pay more to navigate more federal regulations than we did eight years ago. The rule of law is not stronger than it was eight years ago, and the office of the presidency is not more respected than it was eight years ago. But guess what? The whole country now sees all of that, and the light of truth is piercing through the fog of liberal lies. Gore should have been a shoo-in for president with all the media support. But he is reduced to an attempt to steal an election in Florida.

Save your breath

I JUST read the article about the local veterans complaining about Clinton going to Vietnam. That is just wasting your breath. This man will do anything he wants to do and to hell with what anyone thinks. You cannot hurt a man who has no shame or morals.

Everybody's wondering

I AM calling in regard to secretary of state in Tallahassee. Why don't they get her out of there until after all this mess is over? That is a conflict of interest. I thought maybe George is supposed to smarter than that. Why is he so scared of a recount? Everybody is wondering, not just me.

Here's a quiz

WHAT IS the difference between the Florida presidential election and the River Campus? Approximately 980 miles.

U.S. is losing face

IT IS very sad that the election of the United States has been made a mockery of. It is making us look weak to other countries.

A slap in the face

ONCE AGAIN Bill Clinton has embarrassed me. Clinton's trip to Vietnam is another example of how little respect he has of the people who have stepped forward and made the real sacrifices in the history of our country. Clinton has effectively slapped every person who has ever served in the military in the face. Clinton has stepped on the hearts of every family who has lost a loved one in Southeast Asia. Clinton has once again showed that his real allegiance is to self-serving actions.

Going to the grave

THE RULE of law no longer applies in this country. Bill Clinton proved that he could break the law and then lie about it under oath and get away with it without any consequences. As a result, the Democrats now believe they can steal an election for president without consequences. The law in Florida is very clear. The butterfly ballot is perfectly legal. This nation will go the route of Rome, Greece, Egypt and other empires which crumbled. And everyone who voted for Al Gore took this nation to its grave.

Bush would yell too

COME ON, folks, what's the matter with you? Surely you realize that if Bush's position was reversed with Gore's, he'd be yelling just as loud and long for recounts.
