PEOPLE IN Cape Girardeau are concerned about the installation of cameras to record traffic violations. This idea is probably very appealing to the majority of law-abiding citizens. However, even you are subject to mistakes. Parents may want to consider that they, not their child, would receive a ticket if the child is driving the car at the time of the violation. A safe, fun Halloween

I WOULD like to express my appreciation to the members of Lynwood Baptist Church for providing a safe, fun place to trick or treat. The family atmosphere and events will make my child's first Halloween one to remember forever. They provided all of this for one can of food so that they could turn around and distribute that to others that are needy in the community. They really do put the community first.

SO GEORGE W. did not tell anyone about his being arrested for drunken driving because he was trying to protect his daughter from such news. President Clinton wanted to protect his daughter from his antics too. Now I'm hearing from the Republicans, "Well, everyone makes mistakes." These are the same who tried to destroy the President. I think I detect some hypocrisy here. What do you call it? I guess this is OK because it is a part of Republican family values.

Proud Democrat
