Thanks to Bob Miller for his eloquent if not entirely convincing argument to eliminate the death penalty. Certainly, the non-case against Joshua Keezer, marred in part by prosecutorial misconduct on a massive scale, is a great illustration of an imperfect judicial system that should give great pause to the imposition of the death penalty. And yet, there seems to me to be certain cases where justice demands it. Still, Miller's piece is worthy of much discussion...
