Be careful. Be very careful. I can't say that I was stunned but I was surprised to learn that there is a veritable plethora of prosecutorial misconduct sweeping the nation. Other than an occasional slap on the wrist, nothing much is ever done about it...

No cinders

I thought the mayor of Jackson said the street department would not be spreading cinders on the streets this year -- well they did. Not only did they spread them, they flung them, and they are halfway up our driveway and past the water meter in the lawn.

Share the wealth

The public school foundations of wealthier schools (Cape, Jackson) should partner with those of less fortunate districts so as to make things more equal instead of exaggerate the wealth disparity between the districts. For example, a donated, all-expenses-paid trip for two to Belize in a wealthy school district is going to raise a lot more money when auctioned than a dozen donated baked cookies in a rock-bottom poor one.
