Many thanks to the hard work of the mail service during the big snowstorm last week! The mail was delivered every day, and even with all the snow piled up on the street, the mail carrier made it to the mailbox. Great job!
So-called congressional leaders think a grand bargain includes taking the cost-of-living adjustments from military retiree pensions. If this is such a great idea, then I suggest doing the same for congressional members' pensions. Of course, unlike our military retirees who have to serve at least 20 years, congressional members only have to serve one term. The middle class continues to shoulder the burden of failed policies.
A big shout-out to the kind Ameren Missouri worker who helped me safely walk through the mounds of ice and snow to the car that was waiting at the curb. Upon returning home from the store, I found a clear path had been shoveled to my front door. Your acts of kindness touched my heart. Thank you so much!
