I would like to thank the three very kind men who helped me Sunday morning when my vehicle was stuck on the hill at Tanglewood Estates. I appreciate your kindness so much and don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come to my aid. You are angels, and if I come across a situation where I can help, I will pass your kindness along. Thank you!
What a surprise. After having the incompetence of his administration on bold display for weeks, the president decided to, drum roll, blame the Republicans for the Obamacare rollout failure! Is that the best he can do? The Republicans have been against the plan from the beginning, and they have been completely cut out of any involvement in the development of the program.
Just watching the news, and they were saying President Obama said that because so many people have been visiting a website that there's a demand for this health care. I hate to inform him, but the reason the people are visiting this website is because they're going to get punished and penalized by our government for not having insurance -- which should be a freedom of our own rights to have or not have, should we choose. It shouldn't be mandated by our government that we have to carry insurance.
Republican members of the California State Assembly want to inform their constituents about Obamacare, so they've helpfully sent out mailers pointing people to CoveringHealthCareCA.com. Which isn't the state's Obamacare site. Instead, it's an official-looking site hoping to "help you navigate" the health care changes -- with an obviously unfavorable perspective. How low will they go?
The Speak Out caller refuting another comment claiming college basketball's OVC Conference is superior to the ACC was absolutely correct. However, UNC's (University of North Carolina) ongoing losses to second-rate teams, combined with SEMO's recent winning of a very prestigious tournament, certainly means that at least at this point in the season Southeast's basketball team is superior to the University of North Carolina's.
Why would schools try to create safe rooms inside their new buildings when you could have a tornado-safe building in the first place for the same cost.
The Affordable Care Act is on track to add 9 million new people to Medicaid. Over 7 million young, healthy and presently uninsured Americans must now sign up for the new law to be fiscally sound. Much to the dismay of the liberal utopian daydreamers, a recent Pew poll showed that more than 1 in 4 of those young, healthy, uninsured Americans have decided to pay the penalty and avoid the Obamacare mess. And so our deficit continues to balloon while Obama and his cheerleaders continue to tout another of their historic failed policies.
Thank you for giving us a little comic relief. We sure need it. I really got a kick out of that reprinted, tongue-in-cheek column, claiming that the Republicans have a health-care plan.
So, the Republican controlled House of Representatives fails miserably to even address the problems facing Americans and their approval rate falls to 6 percent. Meanwhile, on the Bash Obama page of the Southeast Missourian, GOP apologist Mike Jensen informs us that "more laws do not equal a better Congress" and "sometimes the best action is no action at all." You would think he would get dizzy from the spinning.
Yes the mail is arriving after dark. This is due to the executive decisions made by the postmaster general and other higher ups who do not have a clue. It is dangerous for the carriers to be out after dark and dangerous for the people who try to pick up their mail after dark. My suggestion to customers is to get it the next morning. Everything is being delayed in Southeast Missouri anyway due to the mail going to St. Louis. Don't be angry with your carrier or your local post office. Contact the senators and representatives. Write that postmaster general, too!
