Do you realize that our founding fathers put this brilliant checks and balances practice in our selection of a president so ALL have a say in the election of president. It is not some mysterious method...it helps avoid presidential candidates only focusing their campaigns on large cities and highly populated states. ...

So some want to eliminate the Electoral College? Do you realize that our founding fathers put this brilliant checks and balances practice in our selection of a president so ALL have a say in the election of president. It is not some mysterious method...it helps avoid presidential candidates only focusing their campaigns on large cities and highly populated states. Without the Electoral College we could have a handful of states selecting our president each election. Is that what these uninformed proponents want to happen? Probably so... because the ones pushing for this live in highly populated states. It would be disastrous to do away with the Electoral College.

Movie to watch
Thank you to the IFC TV Channels 175 and 854 on cable for showing “Idiocracy”, an excellent movie showing the effect that a long term democratic administration would have on our society 500 years in the future. It is a brilliant and funny movie that demonstrates the declining effects that continuing liberal policies would have had on our culture. It stars Luke Wilson and Maya Rudolph as two hapless individuals who were thrust into the future by a government experiment gone wrong. If you haven’t seen it yet, I encourage you to look for it on your cable listing and watch it regardless of your political persuasion. Thank the Lord for Donald Trump.
