Veteran thanks

Some of our family picked up my dad, who lives at the Veteran’s Home, and went out to eat at a local restaurant Friday, Veteran’s Day. As always, he wears his Air Force Veteran’s hat which made him stand out a little more on Veteran’s Day. We were so surprised when we finished eating and our waitress told us our bill had been taken care of. What wonderful people live in this area that would pay for a family’s meal, and I am certain it was because of my dad being a veteran. May God bless you for your caring ways and we will be sure to pay this forward when we get the opportunity. Thank you!

Biker clarification

To “Disrespect downtown” — Just an FYI, those Bikes (around 200) were on a police-escorted toy run for multiple clubs in Cape Girardeau. They donated toys and food to families in the area who are in need during the holidays. Also, the guys/gals blocking traffic for their biker friends were asked to do so by the local police department since the turnout for the outreach event was so huge! So, no disrespect just a ton of big-hearted bikers that love to help someone out in need! Sometimes things aren’t what they seem.
