I lost my wallet at the Central football game on Friday. I just want to say that I am happy that there are still honest people out there. I didn't think I'd get it back, but everything was there and nothing was missing. I want to thank the person for finding it and turning it in. I hope they stay honest the rest of his or her life.
To all the liberals that say we should live with ACA because it is the law of the land: Slavery was the law of the land at one time. A Republican ended that mess. Being "the law of the land" is no reason to deny people freedom. Americans should be free to choose what, if any, insurance they want without fear of fines, taxes or imprisonment.
In the 2013 federal budget, 87 percent of spending went to military, Social Security, Medicare, veterans' benefits and interest on the debt. That leaves just 13 percent of the budget to fund everything else in the federal government. If we go bankrupt, it's not because of excesses found in the 13 percent. Despite this, politicians who attempt to cut the 87 percent are regularly voted out of office. Politicians aren't to blame, we are.
I share Mike Jensen's concern over the abuse of the government disability program. Furthermore, since we're short on government bureaucrats, I believe Mr. Jensen would be the perfect person to hit the road and begin telling offenders that they have been cut off from their disability checks. His first stops should be in select counties in the western part of West Virginia. Good luck, Mike!
