I agree with a Speak Out caller who said Mitt Romney is a good debater. However, I think Mr. Romney needs to be more careful when talking to the 1 percent and, thinking he isn't on camera, condemns half the nation.
It was good to see the picture of Old McKendree Chapel on the front page. People appreciate that historic building that is still standing and in good condition. Thanks to the Missourian for printing that fine picture.
VP debate
I watched all of the Biden-Ryan debate. Biden told lies, was very rude and unprofessional. We have got to get this pair of clowns, Obama and Biden, out of office. It scares me to think these guys had control of America for four years.
How do reasonable people continue to support President Obama? He has exhibited the very weakest personal character of any recent president, even Jimmy Carter. Obama doesn't even try to do the job that he was elected to. He won't meet with world leaders, but he can meet with David Letterman and the ladies of The View. He can party with celebrities while our consulate burns. He refused to provide security for our consulate and our ambassador dies because of it. Then he and his minions deliberately lie about it for days until the raw evidence forces them to admit what everyone knew. When he clearly and decisively loses the first debate, he immediately calls Mitt Romney a liar, and yet he didn't have the courage or the presence of mind to call him a liar to his face. This president is an embarrassment to the country.
I would just like to comment on the articles that have been printed lately on the killing of dogs. If most people were as concerned about their children and family members as they are about animals, then I think this would be a far better place to call home. Everyone seems to think that they deserve special laws to protect their rights, but when it comes down to ruining a human being life over a dog I think we all should examine our morals. Possibly turn to our Bibles.
