This is in reply to "Broadway Traffic." I think Broadway is beautiful now. It seems some people just like to complain about anything the city does. And as far as the flow of traffic is concerned, how can that be any different from it was before? You just drive in your lane just like before. Now how hard us that?
Schools around here need to either open and not run buses or develop snow routes. Enough people take and pick up their children that they could have school.
I agree with the Speak Out caller who claimed that David Limbaugh is a good theologian as well as a political thinker. When it comes to religious philosophy, he is at least equal to Augustine and Aquinas. In the realm of political thought, he ranks even with Hobbes, Hume and Locke. Specifically, his ability to articulate the principles of conservatism supersedes that of Edmund Burke.
Will the Missouri Legislature ever summon up the courage to buck Big Pharma and impose a statewide ban on nonprescription substances containing pseudoephedrine so Missouri can get a handle on its ruinous meth problem? No.
A current definition of redundancy might be the theme of columns appearing daily in the Southeast Missourian urging the repeal of Obamacare.
In response to the person who wrote in about the proposed use tax: Leveling the playing field is just another term for socialism, which is exactly what this country doesn't need any more of. The tea party seems to be the only entity in the country with enough facts to back up what they stand for, whereas people such as yourself hunker down and blindly attack anyone or anything who stands for the values or principles this country was founded on.
They keep talking about how many people registered for Obamacare and all the things about this and that. As many falsehoods, lies if you want to say such, that have been told about that already, why would anybody believe anything they are saying about it? Because we don't know whether that will be true, or is true, will be changed later or not. We're being treated like a bunch of idiots. I guess a certain number are accepting that. But not me.
Harry Reid is back on the same old-same old of how unfair we are being to the jobless by not renewing the long term jobless benefits. I know of people who are fully capable of working, but they work harder making it look like they are looking for employment than actually looking for a job. Why should they get a job when my taxes are paying them about as much to stay home? When is America going to wake up say enough is enough of this buying votes by the entire Obama administration? The more they keep on some type of government welfare, the bigger their voting base. It is so obvious!
While driving around I went by the new dog park. There were three dogs there. Then I drove by Capaha Park and there were six people walking dogs. Maybe it would have been cheaper to put dog park signs at the park.
