To the editor: In response to the letter "SEMO Port ammonia nitrate mishap": First, Monty Keesee was wrong about the substance that was smoking. It was not ammonia nitrate. It was iron pyrite, also known as fool's gold. Second, the ethanol issue is dead. Ethenex filed for bankruptcy, and the other two are having permit deadline issues...
