At last, George Will has it right.
As to Afghanistan: "Afghanistan would need hundreds of thousands of coalition troops, perhaps for a decade or more. That is inconceivable."
As to Iraq: "If, despite contrary evidence, the U.S. surge permanently dampened sectarian violence, all U.S. forces can come home sooner than the end of 2011. If, however, the surge did not succeed, U.S. forces must come home sooner."
Yes, after years of vigorous support for the Bush wars, Will finally sees the light. I hope the currently administration will soon reach the same conclusion.
