To the editor:
If you were paying attention to the news of the latest ruling out of the U.S. Supreme Court, you heard of the courts egregious violation of your property rights. A 5-4 ruling gave state and local authorities the right to take your property for private use. This is another example of judicial activism at its worst. This is a flagrant violation of the U.S. Constitution's eminent domain policy, which states you must receive due compensation and the land must be for public use. The Supreme Court has, in effect, thumbed its nose at the law. It has thumbed its nose at you, the property owners. Socialism gets a boost from this decision.
I encourage all Americans to contact their federal legislators and urge them to fight this attack on your rights.
