To the editor:
In response to the article "Kinder Morgan kills power plant project": This is the kind of thing that hurts economic development for Cape Girardeau County and its neighbors. This will probably send a signal to other companies as what to expect when trying to build industry in this area -- or the state, for that matter.
It is obvious in this situation that even if certain incentives for locating in an area are offered, these companies cannot afford the extended red tape and stalling from the state or local levels, especially when a particular proposal is reasonable from the beginning. Some considerations need to be given to stop road blocking the efforts to stimulate the economic development in Southeast Missouri.
