The frustration level over a string of as many as 15 burglaries involving elderly victims is continuing to rise. Despite the ongoing investigation by the police -- there are two detectives working on these cases full-time -- and a reward offer for information leading to a conviction, the cases remain unsolved.
Apparently the burglar -- or burglars -- is cunning enough to know which houses are occupied by older residents and how to avoid detection by police. This series of break-ins, which appear to be related but may indeed by similar or involve copycats, started last May.
Clearly, the break needed by the police is solid information. Anyone who can contribute any leads is urged to come forward with what they know. Without this help, there could well be more victims.
