One way or other, Rather must go

To the editor:

Here is my answer to the question as to whether Dan Rather should be fired or retired. I say fired. In the event that the network cannot bring itself to part with Rather, I hope pressure will be put upon him through public opinion in such force that he will retire, although I think he will have to be carried out shouting all the way.
