He served in a Marine aviation unit in the South Pacific during World War II and retired as a major from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after a 35-year career. ...

Another one of America's finest generation passed away. Harold Schmitt of Oak Hills Street died this week. He was our neighbor and one of the finest people we had ever known. He served in a Marine aviation unit in the South Pacific during World War II and retired as a major from the Missouri State Highway Patrol after a 35-year career. As Harold and Robbie's neighbors for four years, we can say we are honored to have had the chance to meet Harold, a true patriot and a person who will be sorely missed.
