It turns out Mrs. Glueck had never taken a ride in an airplane. Heck, she was 5 years old when those boys, Orville and Wilbur, made the first airplane flight in 1903. So for at least the first five years of her life, she had an excuse for not riding in an airplane.

But that's all be taken care of now. Monday, Mrs. Glueck took the co-pilots seat next to John Ellis, who gladly offered to give Mrs. Glueck her first trip into the sky.

May we all be so bold when we reach 101.
