To the editor:
We had a shelter reserved at a local park to have a birthday party for my nephew's son. When we arrived, the shelter was tagged for us. The shelter was vacant, but there was no parking available. It seems there was an egg hunt, and it had a great turnout. There were no parking spots for us near the reserved shelter. We had to park halfway around the lake and carry stuff back to where we needed to be. One space did become empty, and someone quickly took the spot. The situation was explained to the driver. Needless to say, she did not move from the spot. She locked her car and went to the egg hunt.
The next time you are in the park, please look to see if there is something scheduled for the shelter you are going to block. Thank you.
