To the editor:I would like to thank the many citizens who volunteered their help in clearing the county roads last week. The many trees and limbs which fell across the roads made it impossible for our crews to begin the task of removing the ice and sleet as quickly as we wanted. As we opened paths through the roads we encountered many places where neighbors had started removing the trees with their own chain saws, tractors and hard work...

The many trees and limbs which fell across the roads made it impossible for our crews to begin the task of removing the ice and sleet as quickly as we wanted. As we opened paths through the roads we encountered many places where neighbors had started removing the trees with their own chain saws, tractors and hard work.

The spirit of being a good neighbor is still alive in Cape Girardeau County.
