Making financial sacrifices

It has been recently announced by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs that it will cover extra costs for veterans who struck deals on home loans and faced the possibility of higher fees when Congress delayed a rate drop until November.

With my 3 1/2 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, human nature demands that I be loyal to the Corps, and I am. However, this demonstrates how the bureaucracy as well as Congress and the president are leading our nation to the next Great Depression by growing financial budget deficits and mushrooming public debt, which in the foreseeable future will destroy our great democracy as we know it.

To avert the above, we must all make painful sacrifices -- including our military and personnel.
