Littering is a habit

Habits, when not controlled, can grow on people, sometimes reaching the serious level.

My twin sister as a child sucked her thumb, causing her upper front teeth to protrude. In later years dental work was necessary to correct that.

I formed a habit of carrying a doll, and you had better not try to take her away from me.

Eating habits grow on people and can reach the point of medical attention.

Children often cannot sleep without having a favorite pet in their arm.

These are only a few habits people can form.

An enormous amount of credit is due to the many who are showing interest in correcting the present deplorable conditions.

Surely the many who are responsible for the recent littering that has grown out of proportion will show a change of heart and strive to restore Cape Girardeau and area to the original beauty and cleanliness it once had. I feel they will.
