Life of child isn't worth being in hurry

To the editor:

This is for the woman who almost hit my child on William Street on the afternoon of March 14. I hope you realize how lucky you are that the bus driver was unable to get your license-plate number. I can assure you I would have made sure you were punished to the letter of the law.

Then you had the nerve to honk your horn at my son after almost running him over. He is my only child, and I hope you consider what the loss of a child would mean to any mother.

When are you going to slow down? When you actually hit a child? I cannot believe the number of people who disregard the red light and stop arm of school buses and are so disbelieving when a child is hit and injured or killed.

Stop for one second and ask yourself: If you are in such a hurry to get to work or get home from work or to pick up that dry cleaning, is it worth the life of a child?
