True, government officials are elected to represent the will of their electors. However, when a matter has been brought to the people individually already, how can the lawmakers then, in essence, "veto" the exact will of the people and replace it with their own representation of that will? As Americans, we cannot stand for this type of blatant self-absorption that lawmakers are demonstrating. We should all be calling our state senators today and reminding them who pays their salaries and hires them!
