To the editor:
I have noticed how strange the weather pattern has been, and I wonder if this could be a sign that the end is near.
I have listened to the news reporting about how too good to be true the economy is. Does this mean we are on the brink of a sudden stock-market crash?
I have considered the increase in crime, teen-agers becoming killers, the fact that drugs are abounding. Could it be that the Lord is preparing to strike down his right arm of judgment on this nation?
I have been a spectator to banks buying banks, each merger getting larger, and I have speculated about the possibility of a one-world government on the horizon.
I have observed there are people claiming to be God, wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places. And technology is increasing at the speed of light.
Being filled with anxiety about all these things, I was led to ask God, "What does my awareness of all this mean?"
The Lord, quick to answer, said to me, "Your awareness of all these things means you have far too much time on your hands. Don't worry. Be busy."
