Too many people get self-righteous and complain because someone else's life is being made a little more bearable. Witness the complaints last year about the young boy in the area whose parents had to fight for appropriate educational services for their disabled child.

Programs like this can only be financed by taxes, and they deserve a fair hearing so that perpetual grousers don't influence the financing of worthwhile projects.
