Your Thursday issue contains a glaring mistake that will certainly raise charges of blatant partisan slanting of your news coverage. I am referring to the article at the top of Page 5A ("Former Clinton travel chief indicted"). The headline is not an accurate reflection of the content of the article, nor is it an accurate description of the individual involved. As the story points out, the indicted Mr. Dale was an employee of the White House for 30 years who was fired by the Clinton administration.

Dale became the head of the White House travel office in 1982, so he should more correctly be referred to as "Former Reagan travel chief" or "Former Bush travel chief." In fact, it was a 1993 audit which raised charges of sloppy record-keeping in the travel office which preceded the Clinton White House-initiated FBI investigation.
